(Columbia, SC) -- Despite the controversy, the governor isn't losing faith in his choice to lead USC.
The school's board of trustees is set to vote this morning on Robert Caslen's nomination as president, and Governor Henry McMaster said yesterday he's confident Caslen will be confirmed.
Critics have said Caslen is unqualified, but McMaster says the former West Point superintendent is enormously qualified.
McMaster does not get a vote, and he does not plan to attend today's meeting, which starts at 10:00.
