(Columbia, SC) -- USC's new president is making a good first impression on at least some students.
Robert Caslen met with more than a dozen students yesterday, including Student Body President Luke Rankin.
He tells ABC Columbia it was a great gesture by Caslen, and he looks forward to working with the president going forward.
Several students protested Caslen's nomination, but he says he wants to meet more students once he takes office August First.
