(Columbia, SC) -- A Richland County resident is trying to nullify a settlement made to a fired official.
A lawsuit was filed yesterday over the one-million dollar settlement paid last year to Gerald Seals.
Resident William Coggins claims the settlement should be voided because Councilwoman Dalhi Myers was giving Seals negotiating advice while the council was discussing the settlement.
Myers is accused of conflict of interest and an ethics violation.
