South Carolina US Attorney Sherri Lydon is expected to be nominated for an open seat on the US District Court in South Carolina.
The State is quoting sources who say that two of her top deputies could also be considered for another open seat on the same court.
The President picks the judges and they have to be confirmed by the US Senate.
They are lifetime appointments. Lydon is the first female US Attorney in South Carolina. He was appointed to that post 15 months ago.
