(Columbia, SC) -- A Richland County deputy is behind bars after what his boss calls the most disgraceful act he has ever come across from a law enforcement officer.
Deputy Derek Vandenham was arrested this week for allegedly soliciting a minor for sex. Sheriff Leon Lott says he fired the four-year veteran immediately after hearing of the charges.
Lott says he's disgusted, and he'll push to make sure the 34-year-old never works in law enforcement again.
