Traffic To Be Reversed To Ease Evacuations

(Columbia, SC) -- SCDOT is doing its part to help those ordered to evacuate.

Starting at noon today, traffic will be reversed on certain evacuation routes to make it easier to get away from Hurricane Dorian. The SC Highway Patrol has already begun closing on ramps to I-26 from I-77 eastward.

A full four-lane reversal will be in place on I-26 in Charleston from the I-526 interchange until the I-26 crossover to I-77 in Lexington County.

You can find an interactive evacuation map at SCDOT.org.
