(West Columbia, SC) -- Congressman Jim Clyburn's wife is being remembered as kind, gentle and brilliant.
That's what House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said yesterday about Dr. Emily Clyburn, who died last week at the age of 80.
Pelosi and several other political figures, including the governor and some presidential candidates, attended a service in West Columbia at Brookland Baptist Church.
Besides her husband of almost 60 years, Ms. Clyburn leaves behind three daughters.
