(Columbia, SC) -- There are more snake bites occurring in South Carolina.
The Palmetto Poison Center in Columbia says the number is outpacing the amount reported last year.
The Center has received 260 snake bite calls this year, compared to 245 reported in 2018 and 199 reported in 2017.
There are six venomous snake species in South Carolina.
