(Columbia, SC) -- The weekend criminal justice forum is over, but the event at Benedict College in Columbia is still making headlines.
President Trump appeared at the event Friday and ten Democratic Presidential candidates took the stage yesterday.
The South Carolina Republican Party has since put out a statement saying the president has shown himself to be a leader when it comes to fighting for the African American community.
Meanwhile a Democratic straw poll on the election has been extended to November 11th, and at that time all South Carolina HBCU students will be able to make their symbolic choice for which candidate they will support in the general election next year.
