Push In SC To Make Daylight Saving Time Permanent

(Columbia, SC) -- There's a growing sentiment in the Palmetto State to "ditch the switch."

Lawmakers passed a bill in the State Senate that would make daylight saving time permanent in the state, if Congress ever gave South Carolina the ability to make that change.

The bill is in the House now and will be debated in 2020. The state's golf industry says earlier sunsets takes money out of their pockets.
