(Richland Co., SC) -- Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott is announcing two arrests in connection with a murder in Columbia.
Dequon Jenkins and Zaequan Newhouse were taken into custody yesterday afternoon. Jenkins is charged with murder, and Newhouse is charged with accessory after the fact.
Michael Bates was found shot to death in a vehicle outside of a home on Winter Park Drive Monday.
An investigation is ongoing.
