(Columbia, SC) -- One man is in custody after an attempted armed robbery in Columbia.
Police arrested 23-year-old Je'nell Burton after a shooting that happened by Gervais Street Saturday night.
Initial reports indicate Burton was trying to sell sneakers to a man and woman, but pointed a gun at them instead. The man shot Burton in the hand and leg, causing non-life-threatening injuries.
