(Columbia, SC) -- Legislators in South Carolina will consider a bill to give lawful immigrants equal rights.
Right now, DACA recipients are not eligible for in-state tuition rates, but that would change under the proposal. They'd also be able to receive an occupational license from the state-- making them eligible for over 30 professions that require licensing.
The College Access and Workforce Development Act will first go to a judiciary vote before being presented in the full house in May.
