South Carolina Attorney General Suing City Of Columbia Over Gun Ordinances

(Columbia, SC) -- The South Carolina Attorney General is suing the City of Columbia.

The lawsuit was filed in the state supreme court yesterday. Attorney General Alan Wilson questions an ordinance that allows city police officers to confiscate firearms held by those with Extreme Risk Protection orders against them.

Other gun ordinances also prohibit homemade firearms with no serial numbers and bans the possession of firearms within a thousand feet of a school.
