(Columbia, SC) -- The identity of a teenager who was killed in an officer-involved shooting is being released.
The Richland County Coroner says 17-year-old Joshua Ruffin died at the hospital of complications from the gunshot wound.
A Columbia police officer was responding to a report of car break-ins near the 4800-block of Monticello Road on Wednesday.
The officer says the teen pulled out a gun before the officer shot. SLED is investigating.
