Governor Henry McMaster has ordered the reopening of all public beaches in the state as well as a wide variety of retail operations that were ordered closed earlier this month.
The reopened retail locations will be bound by the same restrictions as those that were previously deemed essential. A limited number of customers will be allowed in the stores and social distancing must be maintained.
As for the beaches, local jurisdictions will have the final say. Some have indicated they may keep public access closed for now.
Restaurants will continue to be limited to takeout or delivery with NO inside dining allowed.
A decision on whether or not reopen public schools is likely to be announced later this week.
