(Sumter, SC) -- Protesters in Sumter are calling for in-person graduation ceremonies.
School districts in Lexington, Richland, and Kershaw counties have already announced in-person commencements at a time when many are having virtual ceremonies due to the pandemic.
Around 100 students and parents protested outside of the Sumter School District yesterday, hoping for an in-person commencement next month.
Currently the district is planning a virtual graduation event.
