(Columbia, SC) -- Election officials in South Carolina are expecting an increase in absentee voters amid the pandemic.
Governor McMaster signed a bill yesterday that would let every registered voter in the state vote absentee in-person or by the mail.
The State Election Commission has already received 100-thousand requests for absentee ballots ahead of June's primary. There were 60-thousand absentee ballots statewide in both 2016 and 2018.
