(Orangeburg, SC) -- Three men are accused of trying to escape the Orangeburg County Jail.
Twenty-two-year-old Curtis Green has been in jail since being charged with murder in 2016, 36-year-old Leroy Bowers is in jail connected to a deadly shooting in 2019, and 22-year-old Steve Rolley is charged with murder for a 2017 shooting.
Deputies say they found the three trying to dig through a wall after damaging the locks on their cells.
Green had a previous escape charge, and could have 15 years added on to his sentence if convicted of escape.
