(Columbia, SC) -- South Carolina has a new record for the amount of coronavirus cases announced in a day.
The Department of Health and Environmental Control reported one-thousand-291 new cases yesterday, bringing the state's total to 27-thousand-842 since the pandemic began.
Ten additional deaths were also announced. The death toll for South Carolina is 683, with 832 hospital beds currently occupied by people who have tested positive or are under investigation for COVID-19.
