(Columbia, SC) -- Health officials in South Carolina are reporting new coronavirus cases and deaths.
The Department of Health and Environmental Control announced 38 more confirmed deaths yesterday, bringing the state death toll to 876 since the pandemic began.
Those reported deaths though span a two week period due to delays in reporting.
Also reported were 1,537 newly confirmed cases. That brings the Palmetto State's total to 48,770.
