(Newberry, SC) -- Three minors are in custody after running away from the Department of Juvenile Justice in Newberry.
Police say the group broke into a church and assaulted someone, then stole a van. It was seen speeding on Wilson Road before crashing a mile past Riser Road.
The three took off, but they went to St. James Lutheran Church to ask for help yesterday afternoon. After that K9s were able to track them.
They were taken to the hospital for injuries from the van crash.
