McMaster Discusses Possible Vaccine

(Columbia, SC) -- South Carolina is ready for what the governor says will be a public health effort of significant scale.

Governor Henry McMaster yesterday discussed plans to distribute a coronavirus vaccine whenever one might be available.

McMaster says DHEC will lead the effort to vaccinate residents, but other agencies, including the National Guard, will also be involved.

DHEC says it will use federal guidelines to determine who gets the vaccine.
