(Columbia, SC) -- The Covid-19 surge continues in South Carolina.
The Department of Health and Environmental Control announced 2,924 new cases yesterday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 234,394 since the pandemic began.
DHEC also reported 44 more deaths, for a state total of four-thousand-387.
DHEC says nine people who died were middle-aged, while 35 of them were ages 65 and older.
