(Columbia, SC) -- The Department of Health and Environmental Control announced 3,599 new cases yesterday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 261,024 since the pandemic began.
DHEC also reported 49 more deaths, for a state total of 4,651. DHEC says one death dates back to December 9th, but most happened between December 18th and 20th.
Twenty-one of the deaths happened in Greenville and Spartanburg counties.
