There are new coronavirus cases and deaths in the Palmetto state.
The Department of Health and Environmental Control announced 2,208 new cases yesterday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 277,563 since the pandemic began.
DHEC also reported 22 more deaths, for a state total of 4,804. Of those deaths, four were middle-aged people, and 18 were people 65 and older.
