(Columbia, SC) -- Dominion Energy is delaying its rate hike request.
The utility was asking regulators to approve a 7.7% increase in electric rates, leading to 178 million dollars more a year for Dominion.
The South Carolina Public Service Commission was set to hold hearings this month to consider the rate increase. But after being asked by the Office of Regulatory Staff to put the request on hold, Dominion delayed its rate hike request for six months.
