(Columbia, SC) -- The Department of Health and Environmental Control announced 4,809 new cases yesterday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 337,845 since the pandemic began.
Yesterday's case numbers are one of the highest reported in a single day in the state, but DHEC says there are still cases missing from the past 24 hours due to an internal systems issue. Any missing case numbers will be reported once that issue is fixed.
An additional 18 deaths that happened between January 9th and 12th were also reported yesterday.
