Curbside Alcohol Pickup Could Be Permanent If Proposed Legislation Passes

(Columbia, SC) -- Curbside alcohol pickup could become permanent for some South Carolina businesses.

State lawmakers are considering a pre-filed House bill that would allow people to order online before picking up alcohol outside of grocery stores and retailers.

Store employees would have to check ID before putting beer, wine, or alcohol into the back of your car.

This was first allowed under an emergency order from the governor amid the pandemic.
