(Columbia, SC) -- COVID-19 vaccine doses heading to South Carolina could be delayed by severe weather.
DHEC says the federal government notified them of possible shipping delays over the next few days. The agency let hospitals and large vaccine providers who receive their doses directly from the federal government about the issue.
If there are shipping delays, some appointments may need to be rescheduled.
The Department of Health and Environmental Control announced 1,428 new cases yesterday, an additional 84 confirmed COVID deaths were also reported yesterday, putting the state's death toll at 7,010.
