(Columbia, SC) -- The South Carolina House Judiciary Committee will be taking on a new measure on guns.
The Open Carry with Training Act would allow anyone with a concealed weapon's permit to openly carry a handgun.
Right now, South Carolina is one of 45 states without legislation surrounding the open carry of a handgun without a permit.
By default, state residents can carry long guns openly without a permit unless they are in an area or business that has a rule against it.
