(Columbia, SC) -- Fort Jackson's commanding general is now reassigned.
Brigadier General Milford Beagle Junior will be serving as commanding general in Fort Drum, New York.
The deputy commanding general of Fort Knox in Kentucky, Brigadier General Patrick Michaelis, will be taking over at Fort Jackson.
There is no timeline set for the transition, and officials say Michaelis being the replacement is not set in stone.
