(Clemson, SC) -- Track and field program members at Clemson University are obtaining legal counsel.
An attorney sent a letter to Clemson President Jim Clements over the weekend saying they will seek a preliminary injunction to continue the men's track and field and cross country teams if the university does not agree to preserve them.
This comes after a Federal Civil Rights complaint was filed against Clemson last month for discontinuing the programs.
South Carolina Senator Marlon Kimpson is calling for an investigation into the school's decision.
