Two Correctional Officers Arrested For Allegedly Bringing Drugs Into Prison

(Ridgeland, SC) -- Two correctional officers are in custody for allegedly bringing drugs into Ridgeland Correctional Institution. 

Twenty-seven-year-old Xavier Capers and 28-year-old Joseph Bailey Jr. are charged with trafficking more than 400 grams of methamphetamines, misconduct in office, and criminal conspiracy. 

This comes after over 450 grams of meth and over 360 grams of tobacco were found in Bailey's backpack earlier this month. 

Both officers have been fired.
