(Sumter County, SC) -- A Sumter County woman is facing a voluntary manslaughter charge after taking a child off a ventilator.
SLED accuses 37-year-old Sharma Ladile Harris of disconnecting the child's ventilator that was deemed medically necessary to help them breathe back in June of 2020.
Investigators say this caused the child's death. Harris was booked in the Sumter-Lee Regional Detention Center.
