GOP State Senators Using State Code In Attempt To Strengthen Gun Rights

(Columbia, SC) -- GOP state senators are working to strengthen gun rights in South Carolina.

They are using part of the state code that allows South Carolina's governor to call citizens over age 17 to serve, calling them an "unorganized militia."

Greenville Representative Tom Corbin filed a bill that would list weapons that this "unorganized militia" has the right to carry.

A subcommittee will hear the bill today at 10 a.m.
