(Richland County, SC) -- A Richland County middle school student is accused of bringing a weapon to school.
The 14-year-old allegedly brought a handgun to St. Andrews Middle School on Friday. The principal was alerted that a student may have a weapon on school grounds, and the student was found with a gun in his backpack.
He was arrested and taken to Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
