(Columbia, SC) -- SC for Ed will no longer be holding a protest today.
It was supposed to be held at the state House, the South Carolina Department of Education, and the Governor's Mansion.
The organization says it had to be canceled after they received "threatening messages from groups with extreme views on masking."
The group says their protest wasn't just about masks in schools, but was to bring attention to how teachers are being treated in the state.
