Dylann Roof's Attorneys Try To Overturn Death Sentence

(Charleston, SC) -- Dylann Roof's attorneys want to overturn his death sentence.

Roof shot nine people in a Charleston church in 2015 and was sentenced to death in 2017 for a federal hate crime.

Now, his lawyers say he shouldn't have been able to represent himself in trial because of his mental health.

They argued remotely for three hours before an appeals court.
