Federal Judge To Determine If Two Executions Will Move Forward

(Columbia, SC) -- A federal judge will now decide if two death row inmates will be executed in South Carolina.

A state judge decided not to stop the executions of Brad Sigmon and Freddie Owens after their attorneys objected to the use of either electric chair or firing squad as the method of death.

The argument was that Sigmon and Owens were sentenced to death when South Carolina's method of execution was still lethal injection.
