(Columbia, SC) -- South Carolina is seeing a slight increase in first-time unemployment claims.
The week ending Saturday had 1,672 first-time claims, compared to 1,633 the week before.
This is the first time in seven weeks that claims have increased in the Palmetto State.
It comes as Saturday marked the last day residents of South Carolina were eligible for federal unemployment benefits.
