Daily COVID-19 Cases Trending Upward In South Carolina

(Columbia, SC) -- Daily COVID-19 cases are on an upward trend in South Carolina. 

The Department for Health and Environmental Control reported 229 newly confirmed cases on Monday and 139 new probable cases. New cases of the virus were declining in June but are again on the rise. 

The number of daily cases is still low compared to numbers over the winter, but the state is seeing a more than 50-percent increase over the past 14 days.
