(Columbia, SC) -- Some parents and teachers in South Carolina are speaking out in favor of a mask mandate.
They've created a petition to ask for the removal of a proviso in the state budget that bans schools from implementing mask mandates. Thousands have signed the petition so far.
This comes as DHEC and the CDC encourage masking up in schools to prevent the spread of the Delta variant of COVID-19.
