Charleston Votes Down Mask Requirement Mandate

(Charleston, SC) -- The City of Charleston will continue to be maskless.

City Council members voted against requiring masks in public buildings on Tuesday. According to reports, the proposed ordinance would have required everyone ages two and up to wear face coverings in public facilities and government buildings.

Councilmembers say they are sticking with recommending mask wearing and getting vaccinated.
