(Undated) -- The National Weather Service is confirming five tornadoes that touched down in South Carolina this week.
The first was in Laurens County on Tuesday afternoon with a peak wind speed of 90 miles per hour. A weaker tornado hit the area again Wednesday evening.
In Mauldin, an EF1 tornado touched down just before 3 on Tuesday, causing uprooted trees and damage to roofs and siding.
Tornadoes were also confirmed in Newberry, Anderson and Oconee counties.
