The School District of Newberry County is reversing course on a mask mandate.
On Monday night, the board of trustees voted in favor of masks being required for students and staff. But on Tuesday, the district says it will not enforce a mask mandate. The reason given by the district is that the mask requirement was not on the agenda for the school board's meeting, and they will instead reconsider the measure on Monday following a public forum.
