Group Of Employees Suing North Charleston Over COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate

(North Charleston, SC) -- A group of 14 people who work for the city of North Charleston are suing over the city's COVID-19 vaccine mandate. 

Mayor Keith Summey issued an Executive Order on September 1st that requires all city employees, volunteers, and interns to be fully vaccinated against the virus by November 5th. 

The lawsuit claims the mandate violates both the U.S. and South Carolina Constitution. Those suing include members of the police and fire departments.
