(Columbia, SC) -- Schools in South Carolina can continue requiring face masks while the legal battle over the issue continues.
The U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals denied a request from Governor McMaster and Attorney General Wilson to stop a U.S. District Court judge's order to allow mask mandates in schools. T
he case was thrown out over a procedural rule, and McMaster and Wilson were told to ask a lower court judge to reconsider the decision.
It will now go back to the U.S. District Court and can return to the Fourth Circuit if denied.
