(Lancaster County, SC) -- A correctional officer is injured after an incident at the Kershaw Correctional Institution.
Officials say the officer was stabbed four times with a homemade weapon and was held hostage by an inmate.
The officer was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK.
The inmate accused of the stabbing has been transferred to another facility, where they await charges.
