(Columbia, SC) -- The South Carolina Department of Corrections is investigating after an inmate allegedly held his cellmate hostage.
It happened at Broad River Correctional Institution on Saturday.
Officials say the situation was resolved peacefully once officers intervened, and no one was injured.
Charges are pending against the inmate, who reportedly had a cellphone and homemade knife.
